As well as Barrier Fire Protection’s use of “sprayed” systems, it is also a licensed manufacturer and installer of the Benarx ’F’ Jet-Fire Protection box.
What does a jet fire protection box do?
This provides localised hydra-carbon fire protection and jet fire protection for critical – and potentially vulnerable – points on a structure, for example emergency shutdown valves and control panels.
This product – which uses the epoxy intumescent coating Chartek 7 – has been successfully used by Barrier in a large number of high profile projects. The box is Lloyds Jet-fire Tested for up to two hours and is able to be quickly released to allow fast access to any key shutdown valves, actuators, pipe-work and flanges.
The company’s technicians carry out an initial on-site survey. The system is then designed and manufactured at our fabrication facility before technicians return to site to install.
